We have a successful technology services function, spanning all financial services but with deep payments expertise, and a cutting-edge payments product business.
A Senior Project Manager is required to join our clients growing delivery team, primarily focussed on the product side of the business. The successful candidate must have proven experience of end-to-end management of technical onsite engagements, senior stakeholder management working closely with an Agile, feature based product delivery team to integrate products into client sites. Budgets will typically exceed £1m. As they work with senior stakeholders and technicians, on mission critical programmes of work, the ability to engage positively on both a management and technical level, report succinctly and accurately are essential.
Projects will be throughout the UK & Europe, but you be based at their London office with flexibility, with regular travel to client sites as required
Managing all aspects of project delivery including project planning, resourcing, milestone tracking, commercial management, risk, issue and financial management, reporting and customer satisfaction
Providing pragmatic project management guidance to clients and colleagues
Acting as interface between our client’s technology team, client teams and third-party vendors
Build effective working relationships with both delivery and business development organisations within the business with the objective of finding opportunities to add value to the end client
Full life-cycle project management experience, reflected in industry related certifications, from initial opportunity through to requirement development/definition, project mobilisation and commercial negotiation of change requests.
Financial Services domain knowledge, preferably in the real time payments space either within a bank or central infrastructure.
Experienced in detailed contract review and associated governance
Prior experience delivering a product-based implementation on to a 3rd party vendor
Agile (i.e. scrum, Kanban, DSDM) feature-based Product delivery and release management
Familiarity with agile / waterfall blended approaches often found at tier 1 financial institutions.
Supporting multiple project resources including blended teams of colleagues, client and partner resources to share knowledge and develop an integrated delivery ethic.
Commercial senior stakeholder management and client engagement with a focus on exceptional client satisfaction.
Working with disparately located teams (both onshore and offshore) and within multi-vendor scenarios.
Strong team leadership skills, especially in the context of large teams of consulting professionals.
