Our client is a Consumer Finance lending platform, backed by a leading alternative investor, selling to UK based companies. They work with several market leaders across the retail, healthcare, education and property sectors, including Purple Bricks, Lenovo and BMW. They provide flexible point-of-sale (POS) products to help consumers access products and services, enabling them to pay back the cost in a way that suits them. Their value proposition is increasing sales for partners, by providing a more attractive point of sale payment solution to customers.

About The Opportunity

Forming part of the Business Development Manager team, you’ll report directly into the Sales Director and will be targeted on closing new business and growing company revenue.

Your day to day routine will consist of prospecting, demoing and closing businesses of all sizes, interacting with c-level executives in some of the UK’s market leading companies. You will be working alongside the Business Development and Account Management teams, demoing their market leading platform, moving opportunities through the pipeline and managing the onboarding process for opportunities you bring to the table. You will be expected to work seamlessly with the account management team, by transitioning accounts across to them at quarterly intervals.

Responsibilities

  • Seek new business prospects proactively

  • Prospecting, demoing and closing businesses of all sizes

  • Understand the potential customers business and providing best practice solutions.

  • Work in unison with all departments including marketing, finance, operations and legal

  • Further their reputation as an innovative and dynamic consumer finance lending platform

  • Work with data analytics software to construct commercial discussions with your partner in order to further their performance

About The Desired Candidate

  • 3+ years’ sales experience in closing business across a multitude of sectors

  • Able to work with data to construct commercial arguments and effectively manage partners relationships

  • Experienced in using workflow management tools such as Salesforce, Outreach.

  • Experienced in using data analytics tools such as Microsoft PowerBI

  • Degree or similar level qualification/ experience

  • Perfect written and spoken English

  • Strong communication skills and confident in having commercial discussions with c-level management

  • Self-motivated salesperson with a hunter mentality but passion for helping others both internally and externally to the business

  • Team Player

  • Experience selling to B2B customers (preferably retail point of sale) at a SaaS or fintech start-up

  • Passion for self-development/ networking with likeminded individuals outside of work

  • You are a metrics-driven and target oriented and picking up and mastering new technology is second nature to you
