About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Business Development Manager to join our point of sale client on the exciting and rewarding path they are taking. Having provided solutions for thousands of retail partners since 2009 they have a passion for delivering the solutions that help their partners grow their business and attract more customers. As a Business Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution and value-added impact to the growth of the ongoing success of our clients point-of-sale business. You will play an important role in prospecting new customer partnerships and on-boarding profitable, long-lasting relationships. Using your influential capability, you will take ownership of the whole sales cycle from developing a prospect strategy, researching competitors through to carrying out prospecting activity (including pitches and presentations) and visiting customers to establish long term relationships – never forgetting the customer-first focus.

This is a home-based opportunity; That said, considering the nature of the role, there will be an expectation for you to travel to meet clients, and travel to our clients London office occasionally.

About you

What is important to us is that you have a proven background in sales/business development with a natural flair and desire to deliver (and exceed) results, building long lasting relationships with customers and colleagues alike.

If you have operated in the point of sale or retail finance space then great, however this is not essential. You will, however, need to be comfortable in operating in a regulated environment, therefore a background in consumer credit/lending would be advantageous.

What is equally important is that you thrive working in a KPI driven environment, with a proven ability for developing business within a targeted market sector, having previously negotiated deals with different types of businesses. Your communication and influencing skills will need to be engaging, with the ability to adapt your style to your audience.

What’s on offer

As well as a competitive salary, we offer a performance/target related bonus. In addition, a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays on top). Wellbeing is high on our agenda, and we offer Vitality at Work membership, eye test vouchers and discounted gym membership. If that’s not enough, we offer season ticket travel loans and various discounts through Perkbox.
