About The Opportunity

The company is responsible for rolling out digital payment solutions through all business units, products and experiences. In this role you will lead an established team of 6 people for implementing and operating payment solutions for the motor brand. This role is instrumental in delivering the future vision for the company’s credit enablement of customer purchases from dealers. The delivery of new digital solutions will require significant critical thinking, collaboration with partner(s) and drive for innovation to succeed in support of Company strategy for eCommerce sales of vehicles and associated products and services. For this challenging role we are seeking an experienced individual with an impressive track record of delivery of digital payment and ecommerce propositions, as well as proven strategic and analytical abilities for identifying new opportunities and capability needs. Ideally your experience will be in digital payments or ecommerce space. You will bring a wide angled lens to the business, and a passion for use of innovative technology driven solutions to provide world class customer experiences, coupled with an ability to lead and deliver teams to exceptional results. The nature of the role will mean it will appeal to people from both business and IT backgrounds.
The role is primarily focused on European markets but can occasionally require support for countries outside of Europe. An understanding of the European Banking and Payments environment is essential. The role is based in Dunton, Essex and you will report to the US based Director, Foundational Platform and be part of Foundational Platform leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Be Group Product Owner for Europe, working as part of the Foundational Platform team within the

  • Product Organisation

  • Lead the Europe business team with Product and Operational responsibilities

  • Manage relationship with and provide input to motor vehicle and credit IT teams on requirements to achieve 'right first time' delivery

  • Work with the global payments team and external partners to shape the payments roadmap and prioritise European deliverables

  • Support Analysts to implement new products and payment features

  • Identify potential risks and issues, and address them proactively to ensure you are delivering robust functionality

  • Be the customers’ advocate and never let customers down

  • Be passionate about problem solving, getting to the root cause of an issue and implementing robust corrective action

  • Take full ownership of a task, identifying and engaging all appropriate stakeholders, and drive everything through to a conclusion

About You

  • 10+ experience with a demonstrated track record of digital payment and ecommerce product design, delivery and management with a Financial Services, eCommerce Merchant or FinTech

  • Obsessing on the experience of customers and merchants

  • Good communication and reporting skills at all levels within the business

  • People leadership

  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines

  • Supplier relationship management

  • Degree/MSc/MBA or equivalent
