About the Company
Founded in 1983, our client is an international payment solutions company dedicated to helping merchants, partners and consumers make buying and selling easy. They are a principal member of VISA and MasterCard and offer acquiring services in the UK&I and throughout Europe.
In the UK, our client offers merchants Visa/MC/AMEX acquiring services on their own card present solutions and own built UI and gateway Ecom solutions to merchants. Their strategy is to attract merchants in the size category of annual total processed volume of GBP 500k to 5.000k.
About the Opportunity
Our client are looking for a sales director for their direct operations in UK&I. This role is broad and encompasses strategic and operational attributes such as budgeting. It is tailored to suit someone who has demonstrable experience in building and executing a strategic growth plan.
Responsibilities
Manage and build a team of Business Consultants selling their acquiring and payment solutions.
Identify, strategize, and execute an approach to key industry verticals.
Work closely with their Partnerships team, who are responsible for signing up and managing ISO’s and referral partners.
Formulate the strategies, tactics and account plans, under the direction of management, necessary to develop the leads and relationships within assigned territory/accounts.
Formulate the appropriate tactical and operational plans to achieve the stated goals and targets.
Cascade plans with proper resourcing, performance management and optimization of processes to realize the delivery of strategic goals.
Possess strong business domain expertise, CRM, and BI utilization.
To optimize systems and sales processes and their adoption by sales resources by working closely with the support and BI teams.
To understand the data and analytical needs for the sales function and ensure availability and hygiene in relevant systems and reporting
To drive performance and decision making with quantitative and empirical methods.
Collaborate with their commercial team to increase the number of customers and work closely with Product Marketing and Product strategy on fine tuning payment solutions for the UK market and collaborating regarding marketing approach
About the Desired Candidate
University degree or equivalent prior experience in a relevant role
4+ years of Sales management
Experience in Partner/Channel sales segment
Deep understanding of the cards acquiring, card present & online payments industry
Sharp and possesses excellent commercial, negotiation and presentation skills
Strong numerical and analytical capabilities
Ability to think "out of the box“, see the big picture and details
Service-oriented & positive approach, can-do attitude
Excellent professional written and spoken Business English
