About The Opportunity

Our client is responsible for rolling out a central payment wallet through all business units, products and experiences. The team’s activities span strategy, product requirements, analysis, implementation, merchant boarding, operations support, supplier management and compliance. The delivery of new digital solutions will require significant critical thinking, collaboration with partner(s) and drive for innovation to succeed in support of Company strategy for eCommerce sales of vehicles and associated products and services.
The nature of the role is that it will appeal to people from both business and IT backgrounds, and be ideal for someone seeking to learn new skills and have exposure to the companies eCommerce and mobility strategy, whilst leveraging product experience. The role is primarily focused on European markets but can occasionally require support for countries outside of Europe. The role is based in Dunton, Essex and you will report to the UK based Group Product Owner for Europe, Foundational Platform

Responsibilities

  • Be EU Product Owner for payments functionality, working as part of the Foundational Platform team within the Product Organisation

  • Manage relationship with, and provide input to IT teams on requirements to achieve 'right first time' delivery

  • Work with the global payments team and external partners to shape the payments roadmap and prioritise European deliverables

  • Support Analysts to implement new products and payment features

  • Identify potential risks and issues, and address them proactively to ensure we are delivering robust functionality

  • Be the customers’ advocate and never let customers down

  • Be passionate about problem solving, getting to the root cause of an issue and implementing robust corrective action

  • Take full ownership of a task, identifying and engaging all appropriate stakeholders, and drive everything through to a conclusion

  • Demonstrate the ability to keep good records, logs, project plans, and keep the team well informed in relation to open items that might impact them

About You

  • 5+ experience with a demonstrated track record of digital payment and ecommerce product design, delivery and management with a Financial Services, eCommerce Merchant or FinTech

  • Obsessing on the experience of our customers and merchants

  • Practical experience with agile project methodology

  • A detailed, accurate and methodical approach to work

  • Problem solving and managing remedial action when needed

  • Experience of writing test scripts or identifying all scenarios that should be tested

  • Good communication and reporting skills at all levels within the business

  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines

  • Degree/MSc/MBA or equivalent
