With over 30 years’ experience in the banking and payments at Barclays, David is a client focused senior sales & commercial leader with a proven track record in building and developing Sales & Commercials team at scale.

During this time, David spent 8 years in the role of Sales Director where he successfully built the current sales distribution model, developing the field sales & telephony-based sales functions. With a passion for colleague development, coaching, mentoring and a focus on hiring talented sales professionals & leaders, he has a proven track record for driving and improving P&L performance.

Most recently, in his role as Head of New Business Acquisition & member of the Payments Executive team, he created the strategy to recruit new Small to Medium Enterprise clients for both Acquiring & Issuing products, with overall accountability for income growth, product penetration and overall P&L performance. Managing internal partners, to deliver a first-class experience for new clients, from Marketing, Sales, Credit-Risk and operational on-boarding.

In 2022, David decided it was time for a change, starting his own payments & management consultancy practise.

Away from work, David is married to Helen and has three sons, Matt, James & Tom. He channels his passion for coaching, and his love of sport through his kids, firstly as the Vice Chairman of Horton House Cricket Club, and also as lead coach at a local youth football team, Hackleton Harriers FC.  In lockdown, to stay fit he joined ‘Team Peleton’ and has just completed his 1000th ride.
