Backed by revolutionary technology their solution simplifies card payments and the associated costs for SMB’s.Working with partners such as Barclays and Worldpay their solutions offer an in depth view of the market, reduces turnaround times and allows them to quote merchants within seconds rather than days.

About the Opportunity.

As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for leading and driving our client’s sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand their market presence. You will develop and grow a team of sales professionals, develop key client relationships, and identify new business opportunities. This role requires a strong understanding of the payment industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of sales success. As well as building and developing the team, you will still remain hands on in the sales process and develop/close on your own pipeline of opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Sales Strategy: Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue goals and drive business growth in the payment industry.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team targets. Provide guidance, support, and training as necessary to optimize performance. Recruiting a high performing team will be an immediate requirement of the role

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and provide solutions that align with their business objectives.

  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the payment industry, leveraging market trends, industry insights, and competitive analysis.

  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our clients payment solutions and services, effectively communicating value propositions to clients and prospects.

  • Sales Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, timely follow-up, and effective conversion of leads into sales.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives.

  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

    About you

  • Proven experience in sales leadership roles within the payment industry, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team towards success.

  • Strong understanding of payment industry dynamics, including knowledge of payment processing, acquiring, merchant services, fintech solutions, and regulatory compliance.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster long-term client relationships.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with business objectives.

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales data analysis and performance metrics.

  • Proactive, results-oriented approach with a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.
